Fall Idea Factory Entrepreneurship Competition Winners Announced
SALISBURY, MD---Teachers, tutors, and parents may soon have an easier solution to test preparation thanks to, MathBridge, the top business pitch in Salisbury University’s fall 2025 student Idea Factory Competition.
M.B.A. student Leah Osmon of Salisbury earned a $4,000 total prize package for her SAT/ATC prep company idea, which would offer real-world applications to save teachers time while instilling the value and relevance of math to students. It included the $3,000 first place award and the $1,000 Salisbury-Wicomico Economic Development award.
The second-place $2,000 prize went to Braden Beauchamp of Bel Air, MD, and Brogan Clark of Berlin, MD, for Fungi Form, a biodegradable packaging alternative to plastic that limits pollution while keeping package contents safe in travel.
Makenna Lybarger and Madison Lybarger of Delmar, MD, came in third with their plan for The Glow Guide, a monthly beauty box made with makeup beginners in mind featuring product tutorials. Their idea netted the $1,000 third-place M&T Bank prize and the $1,000 Jenna Drewer Cross-Collaboration Award.
The competition featured students’ business posters that allowed competitors to pitch their ideas to a judging panel of business and community leaders.
In addition to the top finalists, 10 other business idea posters each received a $500 Merit Award:

• Pretty Divas & Tea – Keana Page, Indian Head, MD
• SellMe. – Rowan Poth, Manchester, MD; and Alexia Nicholas, Annapolis
• Sip Sense – Lucas McFarland, Smithsburg, MD; and Ethan Wilson, Delmar, DE (also won the SU Veterans Affairs $250 Military Award)
• Tuitonaly – Kathryn Dolan, Mechanicsville, MD
• UVPuri – Grant Winkler, La Plata, MD; and Aidan Ruscavage, Millsboro, DE
• Yogurita – Amidat Olaleye, Bladensburg, MD
Additional winners included:
• LumaWalk – Garrett Miller, Annapolis; Riley Belcher-Pasztor, Baltimore; and Tyaira Thomas, Federalsburg, MD ($250 Mosaic Award)
